Instructions

  1. Validate the underlying statistic.
  2. Confirm the relevant owner.
  3. Record the operating problem.
  4. Define the expected outcome.
  5. Create proposed actions.
  6. Assign permitted owners.
  7. Add due dates and checkpoints.
  8. Track the affected statistic.
  9. Review whether the action produced the expected result.
  10. Capture useful learning in the appropriate knowledge source.

Expected Result

Each accepted insight has a named owner, a defined expected outcome, a due date, and a statistic that shows whether it worked.

Important: Drafts Require Review

AI-generated summaries and action plans are drafts until reviewed or approved according to your organization's workflow. Approving a draft is a management decision, not a formatting step.

Write the Problem, Not the Symptom

"Conversion fell four points" is a measurement. "Accepted leads from one source are arriving without qualification data, so the team is working them out of order" is an operating problem someone can fix.

The expected outcome should be stated as a change in a specific statistic within a specific period, so the review step has a factual answer.

Troubleshooting

The statistic moved but nobody can say why.
Record the assumed driver when you create the action. Without it, the review step cannot distinguish the action from unrelated change.
An action cannot be assigned to the intended owner.
Confirm the owner has a role and organizational scope that permits assignment; do not widen permissions to make the assignment work.
